  • Pick a few common, everyday objects, and ask your partner where they usually keep those in their home. Then, have your partner ask you where you keep common, everyday objects.

Example: – Où gardes-tu le dentifrice ?

Le dentifrice est dans le placard de la salle de bains, sur l’étagère du milieu, à côté des brosses à dents.

Independent Speaking Exercise:

Choose a room in your home, or in someone else’s home and describe it with as much detail as possible (colors, furniture, objects…). Use “il y a” and prepositions of place.
