Using one of the recommended resources to get writing feedback, respond to the prompt below.
Using one of the platforms for finding a tutor or language exchange partner, practice the speaking activities below.
Partner Speaking Exercise:
Practice the irregular verbs SABER and CONOCER with a partner. Pick a city or country you’re familiar with and ask your partner if they know the country, city, etc. using CONOCER. Then ask them three trivia questions about the place using SABER. They get a point for every question answered correctly.
Now repeat the game, but this time you must answer the questions about their country or city of choice. Do three rounds and then tally the scores; who won?
Independent Speaking Exercise:
Practice the conjugations and usages for the irregular verbs SABER and CONOCER. Pick three short example sentences for each verb and combine them with at least three different conjugations and make sure to say them aloud (ie: yo sé dónde está el supermercado, sabes dónde está el supermercado, sabe dónde está el supermercado).
Remember, SABER is used for facts, information and how to do something. CONOCER is used for familiarity with people, places and things/subjects.
