Partner Speaking Exercise:

Practice the verbs TRAER and LLEVAR using the shopping places listed here, and pick a place, asking a partner: ¿Qué traes de la…. [insert place]? Your partner must then respond using LLEVAR, e.g., llevo la carne de la carnicería. Then your partner chooses a place and asks you the same question.  

Independent Speaking Exercise:

Create a simple conversation using TRAER and LLEVAR similar to the key phrases section of this lesson. Aloud, read the conversation using the pair of subject pronouns YO/TÚ, then using USTEDES/NOSOTROS, and finally, ÉL/ELLA.

E.g. No voy a llevar mucha ropa a Cancún, ¿y tú? Tampoco llevo mucha ropa.
¿Ustedes van a traer algo a mi fiesta? Sí, vamos a llevar un postre.
