How to use IR

Using one of the platforms for finding a tutor or language exchange partner, practice the speaking activities below.

Partner Speaking Exercise:

• Practice the verb IR by talking about your plans for the future with a Spanish speaker. Ask each other, ¿qué vas a hacer mañana, el viernes, este fin de semana, el próximo mes, durante tus vacaciones, en diciembre, el próximo año, etc?   

Independent Speaking Exercise:

• Practice the verb IR by combining it with an activity you do regularly, every day (e.g., voy al gimnasio, voy a la escuela). Then choose a specific activity you plan to do (e.g., voy a la fiesta el viernes). Then choose something you plan to do next week or month (e.g., voy a viajar el próximo mes).To practice all of the conjugations, change the subject for each example (vas al gimnasio, va al gimnasio, etc.).
