Using one of the platforms for finding a tutor or language exchange partner, practice the speaking activities below.
Partner Speaking Exercise:
- Find a family photo and share it with someone who speaks Spanish. Tell them about your family. Then ask to see a photo of their family and ask them questions, like ¿Quién es ___? ¿Cómo se llama? ¿En qué trabaja? Etc.
- Alternative: if you don’t wish to share a family photo, draw a family tree instead.
Independent Speaking Exercise:
- Practice describing your family members by looking at a photo or family tree. Go through each person, state their relationship to you and others in your family, their name, what they do, and what they’re like.
