Preterite past verbs with stem & spelling changes

Using one of the platforms for finding a tutor or language exchange partner, practice the speaking activities below.

Partner Speaking Exercise:

• With a partner, practice the preterit past conjugations for verbs with stem and spelling changes.
  
  Have your partner pick either a stem-changing verb or one with a spelling change at random, and you must make a simple sentence conjugating the verb for each person (saqué la basura, sacaste la basura, sacó la basura, etc.).
  
  Do at least five stem-changing verbs and five verbs with spelling changes. 

Independent Speaking Exercise:

• Practice the conjugations for verbs with stem and spelling changes by saying short sentences aloud in the preterit past. Pick at least five stem-changing verbs and five verbs with spelling changes and run through their conjugations (saqué la basura, sacaste la basura, sacó la basura, etc.). Try to pick verbs you would find the most useful in your day-to-day routine.
