Partner Speaking Exercise:

  • Practice spelling out your first, middle and last name with a partner in Spanish, such as a teacher or friend. Use the names of the letters in the Spanish alphabet to spell it out.
  • Ask a native speaker what the Spanish version of your name would be.

Independent Speaking Exercise:

  • Practice your pronunciation by going through each of the words listed for the Spanish alphabet here.   For example, listen carefully to armadillo for the letter a. Repeat it.  Listen again, and then repeat once more. Then move on to biblioteca for the letter b.  Notice you can choose between LATAM (Latin American Spanish) or Spain (Spain Spanish) to hear the pronunciation.
