Using one of the platforms for finding a tutor or language exchange partner, practice the speaking activities below.

Partner Speaking Exercise:

  • Play a guessing game with a Spanish speaker.  Pick a famous person and see if they can guess who it is using the verb SER and descriptive adjectives, professions and nationalities. Then have the other person pick someone and it’s your turn to guess.

Independent Speaking Exercise:

  • Choose 5-6 professions here and 5-6 nationalities here.  Write them down.  Go through 5 or 6 ser conjugations (depending on if you’re studying Spanish for Latin America or Spain) and practice each of them at least twice with a different nationality or profession.
