Using one of the platforms for finding a tutor or language exchange partner, practice the speaking activities below.

Partner Speaking Exercise:

Practice present progressive tense and present participles by playing a game of charades with a partner(s). Act out an action in progress and then guess the action using the correct present participle (act out “dancing” → bailando). Then use it correctly in a sentence (estamos bailando). Each player takes a turn acting out an action. Play until you reach ten different verbs. Use the examples at the bottom of this page to get ideas if necessary.

Independent Speaking Exercise:

Practice the present progressive tense by describing different actions you might be doing around the house if someone were to call you on the phone. Use this page to get ideas of common verbs used in the present progressive. Do ten examples aloud, and then practice conjugating at least three of them for every person (estoy limpiando, estás limpiando, está limpando etc.)
